These straight shank piloted countersinks are used regularly by Airbus, Rolls Royce, Mclaren F1, Lotus F1, Williams F1 and many more. An extremely versatile tool which is designed predominantly for preparing an existing hole for riveting, but also used for precise countersinking when the extra support of a pilot is required. The popular 5855 range is also known as a ‘stem’ or ‘open’ countersink. Supplied in 90º, 100º and 120º as standard with other angles such as 82º available on request with little increase in price and lead time.
Microstop piloted countersinks when used with a microstop cage can be adjusted to the required depth in increments of 0.001”. Widely used within the aerospace industry to aid the huge task of countersinking the millions of holes to produce an aircraft.  Unlike the Microstop countersink with integral pilot, these do not have a corner radius. We supply these with metric or imperial threads to suit all common microstop cages. Each cutter will come with a sized pilot included. Replacement pilots can be purchased separately. Supplied in 90º, 100º and 120º as standard with other angles such as 82º available on request with little increase in price and lead time. Cages are also available for purchase.
